You may have heard that Taylor Swift dropped her new song “Look What You Made Me Do,” but some fans are not exactly pleased with the new sound.
Whenever an artist puts out new material, the opinions from the masses are like buttholes. Everyone has one.
It has been quite the journey for T-Swift fans to get to this moment. Following the 1989 era, Taylor pretty much went into hiding after the Kimye snake scandal and fans have been waiting patiently for their idols return ever since. Well that wait came to an end last night when Taylor released her first single in years called “Look What You Made Me Do.” As promised, the song is definitely different from the Taylor we’re used to and now we know that’s because the old Taylor is dead, RIP, but not everyone is a fan of the reincarnation. In fact, some fans think “Look What You Made Me Do” sounds like a Katy Perry song ironically enough. Twitter was filled with reactions with one fan tweeting – “taylor swift finally wrote a katy perry song.” Another said – “This song is Taylor Swift covering Katy Perry covering Taylor Swift.”
Others thought that direction of the song was just wrong seeing as though as opposed to the snakes being a symbol of Taylor taking accountability for her actions, she turned it into a revenge song. Someone tweeted – “Look what you MADE me do? oh you mean Taylor’s not taking accountability and playing the victim?!” along with a pretends to be shocked gif.”
Other naysayers just aren’t happy with the chorus in general and think it lacks Taylor’s usual catchiness, but you can’t please everyone. I want to know what you guys think of the song so let me know in the comment section below, don’t forget to subscribe and then click right over here for reasons why people think Taylor’s song is a Kanye diss track.
