Niall Horan Says One Direction’s First Show Was “Worst Night” Of His Life & Here’s Why

In a new interview with the BBC, Niall got real about the very first night One Direction took the stage as a fivesome, telling the news outlet QUOTE, “I never want to talk about that gig again. Worst night of my life. The worst One Direction show ever.”

Okay, he’s probably being way too hard on himself and the rest of the guys, considering they’d been together for less than a year when they played their first show at the Watford Colosseum back in 2011. Of course, they’d already performed on the X-Factor stage as a group numerous times, but playing a full on concert for the first time is surely something no one is quite prepared for.

Niall went on to explain that nerves got the best of him and the guys, saying QUOTE, “We’ve refused to talk about it ever since. It was a disaster. We were just a joke. Anything we rehearsed just went out the window. It was our first ever gig and we just didn’t know what the [expletive] was going on.”

Okay I seriously wish I could go back in time and watch that concert to see if Niall’s completely over-exaggerating or not. I have a sneaking suspicion that the audience didn’t leave the show thinking it was a disaster, because even on their worst day ever, 1D is STILL flawless to their Directioners.
