The claws are coming out in the first official trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther.

Black Panther is once again taking the internet by storm.

Just a few months after the teaser was released, the king has returned to Wakanda in the first official trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther. In the trailer, the technologically advanced world of Wakanda is at the forefront, and T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman must fight to protect it as the nation’s new leader and king, following his father’s death.

Boseman leads the star studded cast of Black Panther alongside Lupita Nyongo, Angela Bassett, and Danai Guirira, plus Michael B. Jordan as the movie’s main villain, Erik Killmonger, who’s hellbent on dethroning T’Challa, proclaiming QUOTE “I’ve waited my entire life for this. The world is going to start over. I’m going to burn it all.” Aaaand cue the cat fight.

Kilmonger’s appearance in the trailer has also garnered a lot of attention, simply because his cat suit never appeared in the original Black Panther comics, so of course, we’ve got a lot of questions about it, and of course, Twitter had a lot to say about it, because there’s no denyng that the technology with this suit is super impressive and it’s gonna be a seriously epic cat-on-cat battle between Kilmonger and Black Panther.
One user wrote QUOTE “Now you telling me Michael B Jordan got his own suit in Black Panther too. This movie needs to come out NOW!!!!!”

And one user summed up all of our feelings saying QUOTE “am I rooting for Black Panther cause I love T’Challa or am I rooting for Kilmonger cause of Michael B Jordan”

Following the success of the first teaser that racked up nearly 100 million views in 24 hours, it’s no surprise that this new trailer is already trending worldwide. Other than the fact that the movie looks really good, a truly authentic African superhero movie has the internet really, really excited.

Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler, and hits theatres next February.
