It’s been nothing short of an eventful year for Selena Gomez, who recently revealed she had undergone a kidney transplant over the summer, after suffering kidney failure. This was all going down while Selena was maintaining her music career, and releasing new music, serving as the executive producer of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, which was also released this year, plus being the face Coach, soooooo, eventful year, to say the least.
Still, Selena has held it down with a brave face on at all times, and now she’s passing that courage and bravery on to her 4 year old little sister, Gracie.
In a video posted to her Instagram, Gracie tells Selena QUOTE “I’m not scared,” and Sel uses that moment to empower her little sis.
Selena captioned the adorable vid with some very wise words writing QUOTE ‘I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold and beautiful. She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth.
This is an especially important time for Selena to inspire young women around the world to use their voices, because it really does matter, so it’s great to see her using her platform to spread some empowering vibes. It means so much more coming from someone who has also had more than her fair share of struggles this year, so moral of the story? Selena is an awesome role model, not only to her sis, but also for all of us.
